Privacy Policy

Who we are
Deal Dog is operated by Class Chat LLC. This policy covers the website at classrewards.net. The Deal Dog mobile app is a separate product with its own sign-in and its own data practices; this policy does not describe the app.
Browsing without an account
You can use the whole site without signing in. Browsing, searching, opening a deal and revealing a promo code all work signed out, and none of it asks for personal information.
If you sign in
Signing in is handled by Firebase Authentication (Google), using whichever provider you choose: Google, Apple, Microsoft, or a one-time code texted to your phone. We never see, receive or store a password. There is no password on a Deal Dog account to steal.
What we store once you have an account:
| What | Where it comes from | Why |
|---|---|---|
| A user ID | Generated by Firebase | Ties your saved deals and settings to you. It is not your name. |
| Name, email address, profile photo | The provider you signed in with | To show who is signed in and to contact you if you opt in. |
| Phone number | Only if you signed in by text | It is your sign-in credential. Stored in international format. |
| Which provider you used | The sign-in itself | So we can sign you back in the same way next time. |
| Deals you save | You, when you tap the heart | So the same list appears on your phone and your laptop. |
| Your preferences | You, in setup and settings | Categories and deal types you want to see; email and push choices. |
| Your referral code, and who referred you | Generated, plus the link you arrived through | See Referrals below. |
We still never ask for a date of birth, a school, an address, or any payment information. We have no way to receive them.
Referrals
Every account gets a referral code. If someone creates an account after following your link, we record a link between the two accounts — your account knows it referred theirs, and their account knows it was referred by yours. That connection is what a weekly prize draw counts, so it has to be stored.
Following a referral link does not by itself tell us anything about you. The code sits in your own browser and is only sent to us if and when you create an account. If you never sign up, we never receive it. Clearing your browser data removes it.
We do not tell the person who referred you your email address or phone number. They can see that a referral happened, not who you are.
What is stored in your browser
| Name | What it is | Where it goes |
|---|---|---|
cr_favorites |
Deals you have saved with the heart icon. | Kept on your device. If you are signed in, it is also saved to your account so the same list appears everywhere you use Deal Dog. |
cr_pending_referral |
A referral code, if you arrived through someone's link. | Stays on your device and is only sent to us if you create an account. Expires by itself after 60 days. |
cr_gclid, cr_gbraid, cr_wbraid |
A Google advertising click identifier, stored only if you arrived from a Google ad. | Used to attribute an ad click. Cleared when you close the tab. |
AMP_…, AMP_MKTG_… |
Amplitude analytics cookies: a randomly generated device identifier, session timing, and the campaign or referring site you arrived from. | Sent to Amplitude, our analytics provider. |
Analytics
We use Amplitude to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. Amplitude receives:
- Pages viewed, session start and end, and approximate time on page.
- Which deals were opened, which affiliate links were clicked, and which promo codes were revealed.
- How far down the page you scrolled and whether you opened any deal — recorded once per visit, not per card.
- How you arrived: the referring website and any campaign tags in the link you followed.
- Standard technical details your browser sends: device type, browser and version, operating system, language, and an approximate location derived from your IP address (typically city-level).
The identifier attached to this is randomly generated. It is not your name and we cannot use it to work out who you are.
Advertising measurement
If we are running paid search, a Google Ads tag loads to measure whether an ad led to a click on a deal. It is not present when paid search is switched off. It never receives personal information from us.
Affiliate links, and what we genuinely cannot see
Nearly every deal on this site links to Amazon or to a retailer through a partner network — currently Amazon Associates, Levanta and JoyLink. When you click one, you leave our site and the destination sets its own cookies under its own privacy policy.
As an Amazon Associate, Deal Dog earns from qualifying purchases. That commission is paid by the retailer and never changes what you pay. What reaches us is an aggregated commission report — totals and product categories. We do not receive your name, address, payment details, or the contents of your order.
Reporting a deal
If you flag a deal as inaccurate, we receive the deal's identifier and the reason you selected. No personal information is attached, and the form does not ask for any.
Selling and sharing
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising. The only outside parties that receive anything are the analytics and advertising measurement providers named above, acting on our behalf.
Your choices
- Clear what is stored: clearing site data for classrewards.net in your browser removes your saved deals and resets the analytics identifier.
- Opt out of analytics: browser "do not track" and tracking-protection features, or an ad blocker, will block Amplitude. The site works normally without it.
- Delete your account: Account settings → Delete Account removes your name, email, phone number, photo, preferences and saved deals. One thing is deliberately kept: the record that your account referred someone else. Erasing it would retroactively cancel prize entries already earned by other people, so a deleted account is kept as an empty placeholder carrying nothing about you.
- Ask us: depending on where you live you may have the right to request access to, or deletion of, personal information. Write to us and we will tell you exactly what we hold.
Age requirement and children under 13
You must be 13 or older to use Deal Dog. The service is not intended for, and may not be used by, anyone under 13.
We do not collect personal information from anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect it, we do not ask for a date of birth or any other information that would identify a child, and this website has no accounts, so there is no sign-up through which a child could provide it.
If you believe someone under 13 has provided us with personal information, email help@classchat.us and we will delete it promptly. If we become aware that we hold information from a user under 13, we delete it and terminate any associated access.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
